We are currently looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a 10+ years of experience to join our team in Kronberg, Sweden Växjö.
Position Overview:
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of functional development, including requirement breakdown, software design, documentation, implementation, testing, and verification. You will specialize in a specific technical domain, such as Vehicle, HMI, Combustion, Engine After treatment, Electro mobility, Powertrain Control, Control Theory, Mechatronics, or Diagnostics. This role requires a deep understanding of embedded systems, ideally within the automotive sector, and strong expertise in C++ programming.
Key Responsibilities:
– Perform functional development tasks including requirement analysis, software design, implementation, documentation, and testing.
– Develop features in specialized technical domains such as Vehicle, HMI, Combustion, Engine Aftertreatment, Electro mobility, Powertrain Control, Control Theory, Mechatronics, and Diagnostics.
– Work with CAN / ECU topology to ensure effective communication and integration within the vehicle’s electronic control systems.
– Utilize UML / SysML and Model-Based System Engineering for software modeling and design.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and SAFe, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
– Conduct software verification and validation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
– Document and communicate progress and findings to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.
Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
– Strong proficiency in C++ programming.
– Experience with CAN (Controller Area Network) and ECU (Electronic Control Unit) topology.
– Knowledge of UML (Unified Modeling Language) / SysML (Systems Modeling Language) and Model-Based System Engineering for software modeling.
– Significant embedded systems experience, preferably within the automotive domain.
– Familiarity with Scrum methodologies, especially SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
Meritorious Knowledge/Experience:
– Experience in Functional Safety to ensure the development of safe and reliable software systems.
– Knowledge of Cyber Security to protect embedded systems from potential threats.
– Experience with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing to validate software performance in real-time environments.
– Team leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to guide and mentor other engineers.
